Challenge Stages

There are 3 stages to The "Create Tomorrow" Challenge 2011: Preliminary, Preparation, and Finale.

Preliminary Rounds

When: 15 Jul - 22 Aug

Learn all that you can about The "Create Tomorrow" Challenge 2011 – from the theme to how we will judge your ideas, and important dates!

Then get a group of your friends and brainstorm on your idea for Green Technology in Aviation, write up your idea and submit it to us by 22 Aug.

Our judges, comprising of technical and product specialists, will then evaluate each entry and idea to shortlist 8 Finalists from each Junior and Senior category, for a total of 16 Finalists. They will judge on the strength and ingenuity of the idea as well as its practicality (see Judging Criteria).

Preparation Round for Finalists

When: 23 Aug - 26 Sep

Every Finalist team shall receive $500 to help develop your ideas. Use that money to create a prototype, a 3D video, whatever that best presents your idea. Also you need to produce a short video clip (max: 10min) of your project and submit it by 26 Sep.

This video clip will be sent to our judges for their viewing.

The "Create Tomorrow" Challenge 2011 Finale

When: 30 Sep Where: AMK Hub

The "Create Tomorrow" Challenge 2011 Finale will be conducted in an open area. We’ll announce the location by mid Aug (update: It'll be at AMK Hub!). Finalists shall set up booths to promote and showcase their ideas.

You’ll need your friends now. Ask them down, pick up a vote coupon, and vote for your idea. Every vote counts in the Finale because they make up 10% of the final score. Vote coupons shall be issued by officials during the Finale.

Our judges will assess you at the event. They’ll visit each team’s booth for 5min. That's when you’ll have to make your pitch, so keep it short and sweet.

We will announce the winners of each category towards the end of the Finale.
